Dr. Mihajlo Živković was born in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade in 2005 and earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree by defending his thesis with distinction on the topic The Process of Contract Termination Due to Non-Performance. In 2016, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic The Right to Challenge Debtor’s Legal Actions at the same faculty, obtaining the title of Doctor of Law.

He is the author of numerous papers in the fields of commercial and bankruptcy law, published in prominent legal journals.

Dr. Živković gained professional experience in bankruptcy law through his work in legal practice from 2005 to 2009. He then worked at Raiffeisen Bank AD Belgrade as a Senior Late Workout Officer in the Late Workout Department until 2013. From 2013 to 2018, he held the position of Corporate Collection Department Manager at Societe Generale Bank Serbia AD Belgrade.

Since 2018, he has been employed as a Legal Advisor in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia.

In 2014, he passed the exam for performing the duties of a bankruptcy trustee and has held a license as a trainer for public bailiffs since 2012.

Through expert contracts under the USAID Rule of Law program, he co-authored amendments to the Law on Enforcement and Security and Standards for Public Bailiffs. He also authored the program for Electronic Public Auctions in Enforcement Proceedings and amendments to the Public Bailiff Tariff.
