The Bankruptcy Law Association (USP) and the law firm “Nikčević-Kapor” held a conference “Digital Assets as Subject Matter of Enforcement” In the beautiful ambiance of the amphitheater of the National Bank of Serbia, two round tables were held as part of the conference. The moderator of the first round table was Aleksandar Tijanić (attorney at ,,Nikčević-Kapor”), and the discussion on the regulatory framework of digital assets and practical issues was led by: Nataša Katanić (Director of the Normative Affairs Department of the National Bank of Serbia), Uroš Popović (Special Advisor to the President of the Securities Commission), Dragoljub Sretenović (attorney – partner at ,,BDK Advokati”) and Dušan Petrović (co-founder and CEO of Crypto12). To the great pleasure of all participants, the Keynote speaker of the second round table was Christian Koller (Professor of Civil Procedural Law at the University of Vienna), who delivered a lecture on the topic ,,Digital Assets in Enforcement and Insolvency”. The second round table ,,Enforcement on Digital Assets” was moderated by Prof. Dr. Mirjana Radović (Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade), and the current issues in this field were discussed by: Prof. Dr. Nenad Tešić (Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade), Aija Lejniece (attorney and arbitrator in Paris), Duška Maslovara (judge of the Commercial Court in Belgrade), and Dr. Žarko Dimitrijević (Public Enforcement Officer). III Bankruptcy Conference The Association for Bankruptcy Law (USP) held the III Bankruptcy Conference. In a packed hall at the Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade, two roundtable discussions were held as part of the conference. At the first roundtable, titled “Online Sales in Bankruptcy,” moderated by Dr. Mihajlo Živković (Erste Bank Serbia), the speakers were: Judge Gordana Anić (Commercial Appellate Court), Dejan Milovanović (Agency for Licensing Bankruptcy Trustees), and Svetlana Pandurov (bankruptcy trustee). The second roundtable, organized on the topic “Legalization and Bankruptcy,” was moderated by Prof. Dr. Nenad Tešić. Founding conference The Bankruptcy Law Association held its Founding Conference on June 1–2, 2023. The two-day event featured eight panels (roundtable discussions) where the most prominent experts in corporate and commercial law addressed current issues in corporate and bankruptcy law, including forced liquidation, assignment of claims, practical problems and ambiguities in limited liability companies, business challenges in the digital age, and annulments in the recognition of decisions in the practice of Serbian courts.
